Please proceed as follows to update the Satos and Pulso L firmware.
In case of difficulties with the update or if you have any questions, please contact support@broncolor.swiss
Wirelessly:
From version 20, updates can be done wirelessly.
To make use of the “over the air” functionality, Satos has to be connected to a WiFi network first:
Submenu “network” → “WiFi”
You have two options for installing an ‘over the air’ update:
1) Click on the download icon and follow the instructions on the display.
2) After the download icon is displayed in the status bar, you can restart Satos.
Version 19 must be installed in order to use ‘over the air’.
Via USB flash Drive:
Step 1
Download the following ZIP file:
Satos-and-Pulso-L-firmware_V20_Dec-03-2024
(V20, December 03, 2024)
Satos-and-Pulso-L-firmware_V19_Nov-15-2024
(V19, November 15, 2024)
Installation of the requirements for “over the air” (wireless) firmware updates. Version 19 must be installed again using a USB flash drive.
Step 2:
Copy all files contained in the ZIP file to an appropriate* USB flash drive. Please leave the file names as they are. Do NOT place the files into a folder on your USB stick, instead, place all files in the root directory.
* USB flash drive format Fat32 (minimum memory size: 2 GB | Maximum memory size: 32 GB); we recommend current models from SanDisk or Kingston)
Step 3:
Satos must be switched off.
If you wish to use a power supply, please connect the mains cable supplied to the Satos plug socket and a mains socket. Insert at least one slide-in power supply unit in Satos.
If you want to operate Satos independently of mains power, insert at least 1 slide-in battery into Satos and make sure that the battery is charged to at least 20%.
If you also want to update Pulso L lamps at the same time, please connect them to Satos.
Step 4:
Insert the USB flash drive into the Satos USB port.
Step 5:
Switch on Satos with a short key press.
After a certain time (up to 10 minutes), the touch display will light up and the Satos operating system will start. Please DO NOT remove the USB flash drive, even if there is no activity on the screen.
Step 6:
When the main view of the Satos operating menu (as shown) is visible, please remove the USB stick.
Then insert the USB stick again.
Step 7:
Open the Satos submenu "Firmware".
Step 8:
Click on the "update firmware" button.
Step 9:
The update continues and the following pop-up information is displayed:
"Update in progress, please do not power off Satos or remove the USB key. The update can take up to 5 minutes."
Step 10:
If you have connected one or more Pulso L lamps, their Cognition light will now light up.
Step 11:
The display of the Pulso L shows various status messages.
Step 12:
Please wait until the Satos display shows "Update done...".
Step 13:
Then remove the USB stick.
Remove the power cable.
Pull out all the slide-in elements (power supply units and batteries) by at least 5 cm.
Then reconnect the power cable.
Put the slide-in elements back in place.
Step 14:
Switch Satos on again with a short press of the button.
The latest firmware version is now available on Satos and Pulso L.
Done.
