                                Recommendation

                                Lenses
Fixed focal length macro lenses (also tilt-shift lenses) with a focal length between 50 mm (1.97”) and 105 mm (4.13”). Basically, also other lenses are possible as long as the maximum angle of view is not exceeded.

Max. depth of insertion of the lens
Maximum depth of insertion: 7 cm (2.76”). The max. depth of insertion, measured from the outer edge of the Scope D50, should not be exceeded in order to avoid a shadow of the lens on the object.

                                Max. angle of view
80° with a depth of insertion of 0 cm (0”)
115° with a depth of insertion of 7 cm (2.76”)
The max. angle of view should not be exceeded in order to avoid lens flares.

                                Object size and distances
Max. diameter of the object: 32 cm (12.60”)
Max. length of the edge of a square object:
                                22 cm (8.66”)
Max. distance lower edge Scope D50 to surface of the object: 15 cm (5.90”)
Variable height due to combination of supporting and adjustable feet: 1.5 - 6 cm (0.59” - 2.36”) and
                                10.5 - 15 cm (4.13” - 5.90”)

                                Hardware and operating system
                                PC: Windows 10
                                Mac: Mac OS 10.11
                                RAM: 4 GB
                                Processor speed: 2 GHz
                                Free disk space: 500 MB
(for the setup of the programme)

                                Form of the object
In general, objects with a slighter bend of the surface are more suitable than those with a strong bend. The latter could produce a shadow on the object itself.

                                Recommendation

Ideally, the surface of the object should be placed flush with the lower edge of Scope D50.
